We are a small kennel situated on 11 acres in Masterton, Wairarapa, New Zealand.
We aim to produce quality pups for the show ring and as family pets.
We strive to produce sound Schipps with excellent temperaments and good health.

Sandra purchased her first Schipp in 1979 from Ataahua Kennels in Palmeston North and soon added a second Schipp from the Typhoon Kennels. Following her OE, Gemma from the Monsoon kennels joined the family. From then on showing and breeding Schipperkes became part of life. Sanlyn Kennels were established with the arrival of the first litter in 1982. For the next fourteen years we continued to breed, import and export with some success in the show ring. Since 1996 when Ch Sanlyn Uneeda Dream "Jonty" arrived on the scene we have had greater recognition in the show ring. Jonty was then followed by a number of successful Schipps who carried on the winning ways. In 2002 we imported our first dog from the Tumbleweed Kennels in Texas, USA. Am Ch Tumbleweeds Red Letter Day "Buck" very quickly made his mark on the show scene collecting his NZ title along with many group and in show awards. Buck's half brother Chase is following in his footsteps achieving many group and in show awards. Progeny from Buck and Chase are following suite and we look forward to the future and what lies ahead with the Schipps.
In May 2010, we welcomed our new import -  Am Ch Tumbleweed's On The Road Again (Imp USA) "Perry" - Perry has shown alot of promise in the show ring so far and we look forward to what he can produce in and out of the ring.

From the age of 10 Chelsea has been showing and helping out with the Schipps. Because of Chelsea a Tibetan Terrier has joined the family at Sanlyn Kennels. Chelsea has also helped out with showing and handling Labradors, Cocker Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, an Otterhound and many more. Chelsea has also done Obedience with Griffin the Schipp and Tana the Tibetan Terrier.
In December 2009, Chelsea became the new proud owner of "Ralph" the Beagle. - Aust Ch Caermyrddin Rotten Ralph - arrived from Brialey Beagles in NSW, and will join the gang at Sanlyn Schipperkes. A big thanks to Brian and Lesley Childs for allowing Ralph to be part of the team here in NZ. Ralph attained his NZ Championship status along with some group and In Show awards.
In October 2010, Chelsea and Ralph welcomed a Beagle puppy from Amorine Ward of Sarangrave Beagles. Sarangrave Forever After "Summer" has been a wonderful addition to the family and we look forward to what she can do in and out of the ring. Huge Thanks to Amorine for allowing Summer to be a part of our small Beagle family.   

The dogs share the property with sheep, lots of chickens that come and go (thanks to the dogs), a few budgies and 2 cats which the dogs love to chase and climb all over.
The dogs enjoy running on the property, chasing rabbits, getting in the bushes and flushing out birds and chasing after them and having a great time. The dogs spend most of the time outside in their runs taking turns running in the garden and being inside.
All of our dogs are raised and socialised with children of all ages and other dogs of various sizes and ages.
